About Us

We are so excited to share a little bit about where Lumin came from.

Salon owner Alexandra Bratten has been in the hair industry since 2012, formally an Aveda stylist and now with Davines, she decided she wanted to create a salon that checked all the boxes for both clients and stylists alike. She has a huge passion for educating new and emerging stylists, and a desire to provide exceptional services in an environment that doesn't feel intimidating when you walk in.  From small things like a warm blanket at the shampoo bowl while your gloss or deep conditioning treatment processes, to bigger things like offering online booking for most services and also a salon phone number you can text to instead of calling. Whether you are busy with work and kids and don't have time to be on hold, or simply wanting the convenience to book an appointment at 2am when you can't sleep, we've got you covered. 

 

Since our stylists work as a team, in a world where everything and every service has tipping attached to it, we opted to be gratuity free. This means we take care of our stylists with competitive pay and frequent opportunities for promotions and you don't have to worry about who to tip and how much. We took the stress out of it and found both clients and stylists alike appreciate getting rid of the awkward giving and receiving of tips. Want to show us your gratitude in another way? Send your friends, family, coworkers, and strangers off the street that will be telling you how much they love your hair after seeing us! A google review, a referral, and investing back in yourself with products and styling tips goes a lot further for our small business.
